Brisbane Airport Expansions

$190 million of infrastructure investment has been completed or is underway at the Brisbane Airport. The $190 million is being invested into projects, including the biggest external development and first 5‐star hotel for the airport; a major expansion of retail; restaurants and commercial office spaces, as well as Aviation Australia’s world-class training facilities. This will impact the region substantially, predicted to create many jobs, increase the visitor and tourism economy, and attracting millions of dollars a year in previously missed economic opportunity.

These key projects are detailed below from some recent BNE Property reports:

Construction of the $150 million Brisbane Airport Hotels and Conference Centre commenced this August. This will be the biggest external development and first 5‐star hotel for Brisbane Airport. Creating an estimated 1,000 jobs during construction and a further 300 to 350 jobs once open. The development will allow Brisbane to attract some of the $114 million a year in previously missed economic opportunity and drive international exposure of the city.
