The rail maintenance facility at Kangy Angy on the Central Coast is going full steam ahead, with preparations underway. Transport Minister Andrew Constance stated the Kangy Angy site was selected after “comprehensive analysis” and preparation work had begun in January. In September 2017, Transport for NSW approved the facility at Kangy Angy for the $2.3 billion New Intercity Fleet. The site, which will run 24/7, will include about six kilometres of electrified railway up to seven tracks wide, offices, amenities, staff parking and ancillary buildings.
